Integrated Knowledge Park to be Set up at Vizag Port City

An integrated knowledge park spread over 2,000 to 3,000 acres with educational institutions, research facilities and allied institutions in one place has been mooted for Vizag port city. the project was the brainchild of CM N Chandrababu Naidu, who wanted to set up the park in and around Visakhapatnam city. He said if such a knowledge city were to be set up in Visakhapatnam, the Port City could well develop into a knowledge hub for the entire east coast.

However, he said that for such a project to take shape, availability of land would be the key issue. Sources close to HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao confirmed that the plan was mooted by the CM but pointed out that so far the process had not been put into motion. But it is pretty evident that with the advent of the integrated knowledge park, Vizag port city is sure to gain and develop into a knowledge hub .
