Lastly, you need to clear your dues with the water, gas, phone and power companies and notify your dates of leaving for them to disconnect the utilities the day after you move.

Limit weights of cartons – Whether you’re transporting the contents of your house by road, sea or air, you should remember to limit the weights of the cartons to a set amount lest there is any damage to the goods inside. It is a good idea to have numerous boxes rather than hefty ones since there are weight restrictions during transportation too.

Forwarding addresses – Leave forwarding addresses with your neighbors, friends and family in case, anything is left behind or if important mail needs to be forwarded.
